Dr Prateek Kumar

Prateek Joined the Carlomagno group in February 2024 as a post-doctoral fellow. He completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India. His thesis work comprised exploration of structural dynamics of C-terminal domains of viral proteins using computational and experimental approaches and their subsequent targeting with small-molecule inhibitors. He is a Fulbright fellow (2022–2023) and completed part of his PhD during his time at Purdue University, USA. In the Carlomagno group, he is investigating the interactions of histone proteins and chaperones.
