Joseph obtained his PhD from the University of Kent under the guidance of Dr Jose Ortega-Roldan in structural biology. During his post-doc here at Birmingham he is working on the characterisation of the interaction of PIN1 with proteins such as BRCA, BARD and RAD51, which is crucial for the timely role of DNA repair mechanisms. For this project, he is utilising an integrative structural approach adopting NMR, crystallography, SAXS and mass spectrometry. He moved to Birmingham in April 2023 and is still convinced he is now living in the North of England.
