About

Mihir Rami started his scientific career in the field of zoology as an undergraduate student. He did his Masters in biochemistry. He obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science in structural biology, using NMR spectroscopy as the main research tool. His PhD thesis focused on the structural and functional characterization of a disulfide-rich subtilisin inhibitor, LLTIL. He subsequently joined the University of Birmingham for his post-doctoral research. His expertise lies in the areas of NMR spectroscopy, structural biology, enzymology and protein purification. His current research involves elucidating the role of disordered regions of proteins in the context of chromatin biology.
